Grand Junction, CO

The 5th Annual Kokopelli Adventure returns to its original format. The event is a different format than the standard adventure races in that it will be a 2-day (weekend) race run in two stages so that athletes will not be competing after dark. Also, teams may choose to participate in a single day event on Saturday or the combined 2-day stage. Since the event is run in two stages, participants will have the ability to "rest-up" for the second stage or if you've chosen the 1-day stage, it gives the Saturday participants a fun and challenging day of competition.    Both days will have a common start and will include the following disciplines on one or both stages-trail running/trekking, canoeing, navigation and mountain biking. Distances will average 30-40 miles each day (difficulty comes from the terrain and not the total distances). Saturday will be the longer of the 2 days and will include the river section. Teams are required to provide support (no more than 2 persons/team-you may share with another team).

*2 DAY STAGE 3 person $540/team through August 23, add $30/team August 24-September 15. 2 person $390/team through August 23, add $30/team August 24-September 15
